Our client, a Social Media Company, is seeking a freelance Email Marketing Manager to join their team. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and competencies to fill the role. 


  • Helping to develop, manage, and optimize email marketing campaigns driving strategy.
  • Execution of CRM to onboard, retain, build loyalty and increase lifetime value by engaging customers with personalized, targeted and relevant marketing during the customer lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with the product marketing team to develop copy to fulfill channel objectives and deliver a relevant message to the audience.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to develop artwork that is on brand, and has the right tone, feel for the message.
  • Set-up, QA and manage the launch of all campaigns through Pardot.
  • Optimize existing campaigns with ongoing multivariate tests of customer segmentation, subject lines, time of send, content, landing pages and channel making them highly relevant and useful.
  • Track and analyze campaign and channel KPIs and report recommendations.
  • Help guide email segmentation, targeting, and lead nurture strategies.
  • Partner with our ESP and internal IT to improve back-end automation, as well as to launch and optimize customer journeys, triggers, and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM regulations.
  • Monitor email deliverability and maintain data hygiene.


  • 3-6 years of experience in email marketing and CRM, preferable in B2B.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Proficiency in HTML, Photoshop or similar tools.
  • Experience in using Pardot, certification desired but not required.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience with customer-event-driven, personalized campaigns that are transactional and/or behavior-triggered, and dynamic content.
  • A mobile-first mentality and experience with building responsive email templates using a variety of techniques.
  • Strong bias for action and data-driven decisions.
  • Incredibly organized with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-started, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, with excellent time management skills.
  • The ideal candidate has experience in email marketing, segmentation, cohort analysis, and marketing automation tools.
