Onward Search has a national healthcare client who is in need of an Events Marketing and Product Manager to join their team for six months during a busy period. This role supports the Promotion and Direct Marketing team fulfill client objectives, follow brand standards and meet all the required criteria for compliance in a timely cost-effective manner.

The job encompasses handling communication for all events, sponsorships, and retention programs for regional, area and program-wide clients.


  • Comfortable overseeing the project and partnering with creative services, operations, and production to have completed projects on time and budget. Other services that come into play could be writing, editing, translating, photography, videography, etc.
  • Responsible for moving project along, acquiring necessary approvals for drafts.
  • Provide problem-solving as needed.
  • Create project plans that include schedules and estimates.
  • Draft events and sponsorship talking points, FAQs, emails and other materials.
  • Manage activation at events and manage onsite vendors.
  • Attend events as needed, sometimes at night and weekends.
  • Follow up and updating team/stakeholders is mandatory on invoicing, evaluating project components for effectiveness, taking ownership of issues and provide consultation to the client.


  • 2+ years experience in event planning, sponsorships, writing/editing and leading marketing communications projects.
  • BA in communications, marketing, advertising or design.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Familiar with programs like Dreamweaver, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Portfolio of work samples (projects are overseen).
