Onward Search is hiring a Fashion Stylist for an International Brand with offices in Kernersville, NC

The Stylist is responsible for styling the men's and women's e-commerce product shoots. You will work closely with on and off set teams in a fast-paced, high volume, studio environment. When not shooting, the Stylist will be responsible for maintaining a clean and well-organized fashion closet, organizing styling supplies and resources, and coordinating upcoming product shoots with the samples team. The position is an excellent training opportunity for candidates with some styling experience looking to expand their craft by supporting multiple brands.

Daily Tasks:

  • Work on both teams shoots
  • Assist in pulling samples from showrooms, PR, etc.
  • Coordinator returns any accessories that are borrowed
  • Manage purchase receipts: file, organize and submit
  • Sending evergreen clothes to be laundered
  • Recognizing when we need to replace evergreen products, and reordering
  • Steam clothes on a shoot.
  • Email producer ref’s being shot on set.
  • Untag/Retag clothes before and after a shoot.
  • Order Lunch.
  • Order magazines.
  • Create binders for each Men’s and Women’s brands.
  • Connecting with DAC’s to get us the samples we need.
  • Building mood boards.
  • Research what is happening in house with design and advertising (inspirational images that can be used for mood boards).
  • Collaborate with DAC’s to create and finalize look sheets.
  • Hang printed shot looks on boards, on set. At the end of the day, take looks and put in binders.
  • Create a binder with menus for local restaurants.
  • Find local dry cleaner.
  • Maintain an organized fashion closet:
    • Having clothes ready to shoot
    • Keeping jewelry organized
    • Folding clothes
    • Keeping shoes organized

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist and style on Men’s and Women’s cross-brand shoots.
  • Before shoots, identify accessories for the shoot. Ensure all accessories are set up before a shoot and put away post-shoot.
  • Own the scanning and tracking of product within the studio. Ensure all styled looks are shot with their defined number of views along with any last minute additions. Report on daily shot counts to the production team.
  • Steam samples on set and remove hand tags.
  • Maintain accessories within the fashion closet.
  • Organize and order styling supplies and props.
  • Create and update content binders for all Men’s and Women’s brands
  • Assist as needed in other areas (showroom breakdowns, sample returns, feature shoots).

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in fashion or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in fashion styling and/or visual merchandising.
  • E-commerce styling experience required
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with an ability to balance both creative and strategic deliverables while working in a high volume environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to form partnerships across cross-functional teams – Photo Studio, Creative, Merchandising, and Marketing.
  • Flexible and a willingness to put in the extra effort needed.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal, written).
  • Ability to take the initiative and execute with little supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with Excel, Mac, and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 49lbs and stand/walk during shifts up 8-10 hours long.
