Video Editor

Onward Search needs a freelance Video Editor for an eCommerce client. You’ll be responsible for editing short-form and long- form content within existing guidelines and providing basic color, audio, and motion graphics on projects as needed.

This is a freelance project opportunity on an ad hoc/part-time basis.

As a freelance Video Editor you’ll:

• Execute multiple overlapping short and long form projects within parameters established by Video Editing leadership with limited internal oversight and approval
• Support in all stages of Post-Production, including basic Color, Motion Graphics, and Audio
• Assemble footage into rough, fine, and final cuts while maintaining creative and organizational standards
• Collaborate with Colorists, Audio Engineers, and Motion Graphics Artists on all elevated content
• Ensure all content is delivered to correct specifications
• Work with footage received from internal studio production teams as well as external vendors
• Support other Video Editors to pass off and take on new projects in varying stages of completion
• Participate in the digital QA process with designated colleagues to ensure quality of work across all projects
• Prepare for creative direction developments and pivot as appropriate in response to direction
• Earn trust through active and nuanced communication with peers and leaders  

Skills & Experience needed:

• 5+ Years of video editing experience
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
• Excellent communication skills
• Deep passion for everything video editing
• Prominent understanding of all aspects of post-production
• Ability to receive and interpret creative feedback from internal and external clients to direct revisions
• Thrive in an ever-developing, fast-paced environment - happy to be flexible and pivot on a dime!
• Proven ability to identify unique solutions to complicated problems
• Active listener with a strong ability to think critically
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Available to work on weekends and evenings when needed
