Our client, a leading global fashion retailer, is in search of a Junior level Front End Developer to join their team. This position will begin as freelance with the opportunity to convert to permanent. This role begins on February 4th, on-site in New York City.

What you'll be doing:

  • Implement and deploy interactive and promo web content for the company's website.
  • The day-to-day includes weekly homepage refresh projects, implementing promotional content and new products to be featured based on marketing directives.
  • Partner with the marketing team on what is and is not technically recommended/possible for the site, email creation and A/B testing of campaigns.
  • You will be building interactive usability prototypes, identify and fix UI issues, browser issues and ensure the site is optimized to provide the most optimal performance.
  • Build and continuously optimize cross-browser/cross-platform web content.
  • Write custom HTML/CSS/JS code for the client's web content.
  • Build usability prototypes to support new projects and innovation.
  • Provide custom coding to the eCommerce team and support when there are issues to layout or content.

About you:

  • 2+ years having worked as a Front End Developer or UI Engineer.
  • Must have spent a minimum of 2 years building/updating cross-browser web content using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON and Ajax.
  • Experience developing custom code in CMS platforms like SiteCore, AEM, etc.
  • Strong JavaScript custom coding ability and deployment of JS libraries (jQuery, Require.js, etc.).
  • Basic working knowledge of Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • eCommerce and retail experience is a bonus.
  • You have the ability to quickly build interactive usability prototypes and UI layouts.
  • Ability to manage your time and deadlines and can roll with the fast-paced environment of an eCommerce space.
