Our client, a growing healthcare focused technology platform centered around Women's health, is looking for a part-time freelance Public Relations Consultant to support the team on an on-going basis. This role begins in NYC ASAP.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the PR strategy and execution for the brand.
  • Ideate, compose and distribute press releases to get out the word about how the product and team impacts our target.
  • Pitch the leadership team and our advisors to various media outlets to amplify our voice about launches and developments.
  • Monitor the brand's competitive set, reporting back on their strategies and developing ways to tell our message in a differentiated way.
  • Monitor all daily media mentions of the brand and its partners to ensure you are up to date and aware of all coverage and can handle all responses as needed.
  • Work with media to pitch stories and ensure that coverage is had across all key products, events and campaigns.
  • Own the team's database of media and influencers.
  • Utilize your experience to handle crisis scenarios and all issues, mitigating their affects in a proactive nature.
  • Own the budgets for your team's activities.
  • Other tasks may apply.

About you:

  • 4-6 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or Talent Relations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related communications field.
  • An understanding of the healthcare industry, preferably through professional experience.
  • Experience with healthcare and consumer publications targeted towards patients, as well as, B2B (payers, channels, etc.).
  • Bring a robust set of media contacts across consumer and professional channels across healthcare and business (e.g. Businesswire).
  • You are a proactive and action-oriented face of the organization who can come up with great ideas on the fly.
  • You possess the ability to develop strong relationships with leading talent, influencers, sponsors, partners, etc.
