Onward Search is working with a Consulting firm that has an immediate need for a Senior User Experience Architect. You will be working onsite with one of their clients in northern Connecticut.

The client is provided with hardware and software solutions for a wide variety of clients. You will be responsible for designing innovative phone, tablet, and desktop applications.

You will be responsible for leading design thinking workshops, and overall educating stakeholders at different levels of user-centered methodologies and best practices. You will be responsible for initial research through the prototype. You will be required to analyze the findings from the study, create documentation, and present to high-level stakeholders to get buy-in on an action plan. From there you will handle the hands-on creation of personas, wireframes, prototypes, scenarios, etc.

You must have a high-level understanding of design thinking methodology, and the ability to build a design thinking culture from the ground up. You must have experience with quantitative and qualitative research tools. This position requires a high level of collaboration, and then the ability to break off and work autonomously on deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in design software - Creative Suite, Balsamiq, Sketch, OmniGraffle, etc.
  • High-level interface design, and overall information architecture.
  • Strong understanding of the design capabilities and limitations of development languages.
  • Strong communication, and presentation skills
