Our CPG client with facilities in the far northwestern suburbs is seeking a HR Assistant to join their team on a contract basis. The position will mainly conduct data entry (primarily into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, but not to disregard Microsoft Word or other Microsoft Office applications).

Responsibilities:

  • Performs data transaction requests and records all status, transfer, and termination changes into HRIS, payroll, or alternate systems daily
  • Executes all transactions related to human resources activities including but not limited to data entry, filing, HRIS systems, employment inquiries, benefit enrollment and payment initiation, training and development, time-keeping, and password resets
  • Ensures all data is entered systems accurately, completely, and quickly, per service level agreement(s)
  • Responds to all associates in a professional, courteous, timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborates positively with all team members to develop new and improve existing HR and training work processes and procedures
  • Serves as the primary resources for all training needs
  • Run periodic reports from various systems to provide key data to authorized stakeholders
  • Assist with maintaining personnel files in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Coordinate facility logistics (securing rooms, equipment, set up, refreshments, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish)
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience within a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess excellent problem solving and communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, adaptability, self-initiative and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
