Onward Search is on the hunt for an Industrial Designer to join our Entertainment client for a long-term contract assignment.

You'll work as part of our client's design studio, and be responsible for the industrial design strategy and execution of our client's portfolio of hardware products. You'll help define the physical interaction experience of a next generation platform to ensure it delivers a seamless user experience.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Initiate and drive all industrial design projects from ideation, planning, and launch through testing and implementation, ensuring that they align to the product road map
  • Partner with the internal hardware organization, their external vendors and product management to foster a strong culture
  • Manage all industrial design external vendors and agency partnerships
  • Work closely with brand strategy and design to ensure full alignment with our client's brand vision

We are seeking Industrial Designers who meet the following requirements:

  • 8-10 years experience in user-centered industrial design, user requirements, analysis and usability testing
  • Experience in set top box design, or consumer electronics, or similar products
  • Cross functional design experience - UI, engineering, product management
  • Expertise managing external vendors and agencies
  • Must be proficient in CAD, Solidworks, Alias, or Rhino
