Onward Search is looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager for our agency client in Boulder.

Responsibilities:

  • Expert knowledge of AD topology & administration.
  • Working knowledge of DPM, Hyper-V, Ops Manager *(one or more).
  • Expertise building, racking, administering, troubleshooting & deploying Intel-based server platforms with Win Server and Linux.
  • Expertise in configuring, managing and troubleshooting virtualized environments such as Hyper-V.
  • Experience with SAN and storage solutions.
  • Solid understanding of networking: LAN, WAN, IDS / IPS, Layer 2 /3 VPN, network security and load balancing, firewalls and wireless networks.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools.
  • Security-focused with a deep understanding of IT security practices and ensures key system controls are adhered to.
  • Good understanding of database applications and servers (i.e., SQL Server).
  • Solid experience in rack, environmental, power and capacity management within Data Centers, Server Rooms. MDFs and IDF’s.
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral & written).
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to perform under pressure.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, organization, and self-motivation.
  • Experience in developing and streamlining processes.

Experience:

  • Manage a team of strong Engineers maintaining a stable and secure environment across all offices.
  • Manage external IT vendors
  • Manage and personally assist in driving technical issues towards a resolution.
  • Both lead and be an active participant in IT projects, tickets, RFC’s and tasks.
  • Implement solutions, enhancements, and fixes that are in line with IT security best practices.
  • Act as an escalation point for technical issues. Help with troubleshooting critical issues and be an effective leader to ensure that problems are resolved as quick as possible.
  • Function as the Global IT Change Manager and lead weekly Change Management Meetings.
  • Meet IT financial objectives by assisting in forecasting requirements; participating in annual budget meetings; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Abide by Sarbanes Oxley controls and assist with server/security audits where
  • applicable.
  • Leads team to maintain and orderly and organized working environment across all Infrastructure activities.
  • 10+ years in the IT field, ideally in a medium-sized company environment.
  • Experience as point-of-escalation for technical issues.
  • Experience in project management practices, both as lead and resource.
