Onward Search is on the hunt for a Jr. UI Designer to join our Entertainment client. This is a long-term contract position that begins immediately.

You will work as part of our UI/ UX team and be responsible for product design across mobile, web, and tablet. You will work as part of our client's UX team and help support current and next generation design of our client's multi-platform entertainment properties.

This is a phenomenal opportunity for a Jr. UI Designer to cut their teeth in an environment where you can learn from industry experts the fundamentals of UI Design.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Working with UX and UI design leads to build high-quality user-centered solutions
  • You will work to be part of our client's creative brainstorming ideation, rapid-prototyping, and other problem-solving
  • Design of UI comps that reflect sound UX thinking
  • You will work with internal user research teams to support usability and focus group test plans and prototype support

We are seeking UI Designers who meet the following requirements:

  • Your portfolio should show that you push the boundaries of UI Design - does your work show that you follow the UI conventions that already exist, or do you look to create new journeys, break the site/ convention?
  • Must show a strong understanding of visual hierarchy
  • Must have strong type skills
  • Must be able to show examples of web/ mobile apps in portfolio and be passionate about UI Design
  • Must have a strong understanding/ foundation in UX fundamentals, being able to articulate user flows, and user-focused design principles
  • Must be able to sketch quickly and fluidly, ideas on paper, whiteboards, etc.
  • Must be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite

  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
