We are in search of a Jr Digital Copywriter to join our client’s Detroit area office! The Jr Digital Copywriter is responsible for developing clear, relevant and engaging copy to support a wide array of digital marketing campaigns for their clients. Some projects can include text link advertisements, banner advertisements, emails, site content articles, newsletters, blog posts, web landing pages and overall web site content targeting a variety of audiences to achieve overall organizational objectives. Job Requirements:

  • Produce high-quality copy and brand communications that are appropriate for purpose, audience and channel, while consistent with the overall goals, strategies and standards of the organization
  • Copywriting for predominantly an online environment including text link advertisements, banner advertisements, emails, landing pages, site content, etc.
  • Experience in writing a variety of content and following brand guidelines based on customer segmentation, as well as developing promotional copy for advertisements, campaigns, programs, promotions
  • Understand interactive writing, online constraints and effective communication for the web
  • Duties to include researching, writing, editing and other electronic content (emails, banner ads, social media, etc.)
  • Develop and produce electronic content that reflects online usability best practices
  • Proactively review electronic content and recommend usability improvements (content clarity, brevity, calls to action, & streamlined online navigation)
  • Work with the digital team to address challenges in displaying and integrating content within the website look and feel
  • Enforce and follow established brand, visual identity and style guides to ensure high editorial standards
  • Ensure that web content meets established editorial, quality and industry standards for web usability and accessibility
  • Work must be of the highest quality, accurate and completed within required timelines. Must be able to handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities with tight timelines
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends and facilitate research to ensure optimal level of subject matter expertise and accuracy
  • Maintain high standards for writing quality and accuracy. Must have highly-developed editing and proofing skills
  • Develop and implement processes, standards and guidelines for ongoing copy development, while demonstrating a fundamental understanding of the significant spectrum of audiences and therefore requisite message versioning
  • Establish an environment of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning, a commitment to quality, welcomes and encourages collaboration, and fosters both intra and inter-departmental dialogue and respect
  • Model the type and level of behavior, professionalism and leadership that is in accordance with the values of the organization


  • Bachelor's degree preferred with emphasis in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing or professional writing


  • 2+ years of digital copywriting exp in marketing, advertising, promotion or publishing req
  • Knowledge of HTML markup elements such as bold, headlines, lists and anchors required
  • Experience in concept development and copywriting in the digital space required
  • Experience demonstrating strong conceptual skills with knowledge of how copy relates to art, design, graphics and typography required
  • Excellent command of the English language and grammar, with the demonstrated ability to adjust writing styles for different audiences and mediums
  • Experience managing multiple projects and functions in a time sensitive environment
  • Experience working with sensitive information in a professional and trustworthy manner
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail required
  • Ability to make decisions in a challenging environment and anticipate future needs required
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, positive attitude and proactive; a team member who can positively and productively affect others


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
