Onward Search is seeking a talented Jr- Mid User Experience Designer to join our clients growing team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities::

  • Participate in user research including interviews, contextual inquiries, and other techniques as appropriate
  • Develop insights from research, elevating understanding and helping clarify problems to be solved and opportunities to excel
  • Explore alternative solutions to problems through both participation in collaborative ideation and within your own personal process
  • Clarify solutions and insights with cleanly documented user stories, flows, journeys, and sitemaps
  • Capture novel interactive solutions using low and high-fidelity wireframes, depending on need
  • Rapidly test solutions using various inspection techniques: heuristic evaluation, cognitive walkthrough, and user testing
  • Be highly collaborative - welcoming input from team members as well as providing your own insight to others’ work regularly


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interactive Design, HCI, or similar field
  • 2+ years of experience
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating design process from discovery through wireframes
  • An unquenchable interest in emerging technology and its potential applications
  • An eagerness to empathize with users
  • Ability to produce testable prototypes using commonly available tools
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, uses, and limitations: HTML, CSS, and Javascript
