Our client, an award winning branding agency, is in search of a junior level Branding Strategist to join their team on a permanent basis. This role begins on-site in New York City as soon as possible.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll work with senior strategists, strategy directors, the design team, program managers and the founders across a range of existing clients and new business including research, strategy development, naming and activation.
  • Plan, organize and participate in project specific research, synthesizing and analyze findings into recommendations for new opportunity areas.
  • Build comprehensive findings decks from research output, developing themes and key takeaways.
  • Write surveys for research across both qualitative and quantitative studies.
  • Lead competitive audits and keep up with relevant marketplace happenings to stay current on client trends.
  • Constantly conduct research on your clients, diving deep into their business, their strategy and the landscape to make yourself extremely knowledgeable about their strengths and opportunities.
  • Work with the program management team to ensure the strategy team is set up for success like meeting prep, information gathering on clients, etc.
  • Travel to clients and research as needed.
  • Draft client deliverables including presentations, new business proposals and scopes of work, among others.
  • Coordinate with the design and creative team.
  • Always flex your strategic mind to improve the knowledge of the agency and the agency's reputation by sharing and publishing your content.

About you:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the brand strategy or marketing space.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/communication, liberal arts or similar discipline.
  • A strong understanding of the complex B2B environment (eg. financial services, technology, fin-tech, mar-tech and cyber security).
  • You have an analytical mind, love research, solving complex problems and writing.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web research.
