Our client, a real estate focused VR company is searching for a Junior Technical Artist. We're looking for candidates with the following skillset and experience to fill the role. 

This Junior Technical Artist will be responsible for:

  • Exporting and debugging of geometry, materials, and lighting from 3DS Max into Unreal.
  • Manual/Automatic decimation of high-resolution assets for use in Unreal.
  • Working with dedicated artists, designers, and programmers to support new features and systems.
  • Organizing and maintain our digital asset libraries.
  • Modeling of real-time environments and props.
  • Creation of PBR materials for photorealistic rendering of architectural spaces.
  • Testing of automation tools developed by the team.
  • The ideal Junior Technical Artist will have:
  • Desire to work within a friendly company culture of calm, rational debate and honest critical feedback at all levels of the StageGlass organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with remote team members using Slack, white-boarding, scheduling, screen recording, and video conferencing tools.
  • Portfolio showing game environment and/or architectural work.
  • 4+ Years of Technical Art Experience.
  • 2+ Years of Unreal Engine experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of PBR workflows and Substance Designer
  • Strong Knowledge of Modeling & Basic Rendering in 3DS Max.
  • Basic Knowledge of MaxScript.

It's a plus if the Junior Technical Artist has:

  • Experience with program-agnostic modeling workflows.
  • Experience with Houdini, or in using Houdini Digital Assets.
