Onward Search is looking for a Lead Designer to join our corporate marketing client for a contract-to-hire position that starts ASAP.

This is with an SF-based, but 100% remote candidates will be considered as long as you're able to work Pacific Time hours.

This is a hands-on role that reports to the Creative Director and works with a small team of designers. This position requires someone to lead by example, to be able to concept, design, and handle the production of both print and digital campaigns in a fast-paced environment.

You will work within brand guidelines on POP, POS, in-store collateral, print, as well as e-commerce, landing pages, and interstitials/web pages/ad displays. 75% of the role is print and 25% is digital/ e-commerce.

This a great team of creatives with no egos, who are down to earth and nice. Looking for a similar-minded candidate.

We are seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • 6+ Years experience in design for ad agencies or in-house marketing teams
  • Preference for candidates who have worked with major retailers
  • Must be a "print nerd", someone who knows the ins and outs of designing in-store, POP, and can design and do production
  • Must be conceptual and have a contemporary aesthetic and know how to work with dense copy
  • An expert in type/typeface is critical
  • Must be able to showcase digital work you've done as well, with a preference for e-commerce design - landing pages etc.
  • Must be autonomous, a strong communicator
  • Must be proficient in Sketch, InDesign, and Photoshop
