Our client, a leading utilities provider in the New York area is looking to hire a Lead Software Engineer for one of their most business critical teams. This role begins as soon as possible.

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as the technical lead for application support
  • Lead a set of teams to support the systems plan, coordinating and facilitating all functional and technical design work sessions
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure packages are maintained and supported at all times
  • Develop, run and analyze test plans to ensure quality control and learning implementation
  • Lead multi-system integration and drive the UA testing across all end-to-end systems to ensure stability
  • Provide on-call support to the team when needs arise
  • Lead teams of various disciplines and levels, as well as, contractors
  • Other tasks may apply

About you:

  • 5+ years working experience in Software Engineering
  • Expertise with Core Java, SQL, Oracle, unix and data integration
  • Experience with a company that handles large, complex data integration is preferred
  • Experience mentoring and managing more junior staff
  • Possess the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • You are able to articulate complex issues and solutions in an understandable way to a range of audiences.
  • You continuously look to use best in class technology and stay up to date on emerging technologies
  • You can build internal and external partnerships
