RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with executives in Product, Tech, Design, Marketing, Analytics, and Operations to achieve high-value results
  • Be the leader of the S4S design team
  • Inspire and empower a high-performing and innovative group of design strategists, content writers, researchers, UX/UI designers, and front-end developers in defining and delivering product experiences that simplify the complex across channels, platforms, and devices
  • Build the program culture and operating model with the S4S design team
  • Work closely with other design leaders in the world
  • Go-to partner in Design for Product, Tech, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics leaders and teams for the program
  • Take part in forming and reforming strategy, product vision, and execution plans.
  • Consult on and align with the needs of your partners in defining portfolio plans, and spot opportunities with the Design leadership
  • Asses the skills and development areas of the designers on the S4S team to align them to the right opportunities to deliver key results and encourage their growth
  • Effectively connect the dots between product experiences in the ecosystem

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience with user interface (UI) design and user experience design (UX)
  • At least 3 years of experience designing digital products OR
  • At least 3 years of experience designing omni-channel services
  • Experience working with Agile and Lean product development teams
  • A portfolio that highlights your ability to design digital experiences that cross channels and touch-points.
  • Understanding of interface and interaction patterns and best practices for various platforms, including experience working within a responsive design framework
  • Understanding of human-centered design and UX practices.
  • Experience working within established brand guidelines and style guides.
  • Demonstrated ability to work from low fidelity to high fidelity
  • Experience creating prototypes that showcase design concepts and interaction patterns
  • Ability to communicate your design decisions, tell compelling stories, and craft elegant presentations
  • Understanding and utilization of Lean and Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with current design tools (Figma, Sketch, InVision, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a design-related field
  • 7+ years of experience with user interface (UI) design
  • 7+ years of experience with user experience design
  • 5+ years of experience designing for omnichannel services
  • 5+ years of experience creating prototypes at various levels of fidelity
  • 3+ years leading projects
