Our client, a leader global business consulting, has engaged Onward Searc to identify a Lead User Experience Designer to work with their Global Legal Team to improve & optimise their process and workflow.

You’ll be responsible for research and analysis of user needs and sentiment, the creation and testing of design prototypes and concepts and the design of cross-product UX & service frameworks that will define a consistent user experience for our colleagues across the business.

As a Lead UX Designer, you’ll also need to be comfortable liaising with senior leadership, showcasing your UX work and evidencing the contributions your research and design work have made to the team’s broader strategic initiatives.

Our client would like to see candidates:

  • Have at least 6 years’ experience solving complex problems and working in complex spaces
  • Have a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Computer/Information Science, or similar, or equivalent practical experience
  • Have experience of working in an Agile environment, ideally with an understanding of how to operate with Agile at scale
  • Understand the fundamental importance of research and analysis to support their design process and – perhaps more importantly – understand the necessity of their research analysis being outcome oriented
  • Have a proven track record of leading generative and evaluative research, information architecture and interaction design engagements, ideally for a variety of complex digital applications and/or physical and service experiences (this should be demonstrated in your portfolio)
  • Have business know-how: Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
  • Have a proven track record of leading through influence, building long-term relationships and building vision, roadmaps, priorities and objectives
  • Comfortable with – and effective at – liaising with senior leadership; who are able to tell the story of their design in a language that resonates with the audience
  • Understand the importance of being a credible design authority – who can evidence the contributions to broader business initiatives that their designs have achieved
  • Proficient in design and prototyping tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Figma).
