Our client, a premium streaming destination, is seeking a Freelance Music Licensing Coordinator to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Creative team by coordinating all creative music request and facilitating external asks.
  • Work with labels and publishers to license music for Original Campaigns
  • Manage Master/Synch Licenses while working in tandem with legal
  • Pull PO’s and process all payments for music
  • Maintain a record of all licensed songs and expirations
  • Manage full workflow from initial estimates to payment
  • Track upcoming requests and facilitate internal feedback to stakeholders.
  • Negotiate music licensing media and terms with the third-party vendor
  • Work with video producers to engage up and coming talent
  • Ability to pull music selects for producers and editors
  • Manage all third party stock licensing agreements
  • Negotiate new vendor relationships with music companies
  • Work with editors and post team to ensure cue sheets are accurate
  • Deliver quarterly report of cues to annual stock music vendors
  • Manage music budget for the year
  • Upkeep all fully executed agreements in server

Musts:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in music licensing for trailers and promos in film/tv.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task on various projects
  • Understanding of music licensing and copyright
  • Experience in contract management
  • The ideal candidate loves working in the music landscape
  • Strong collaborator creatively
