our client, a VR production company, is seeking a Live-Action Producer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support and oversight of the live-action, physical production operations across the content creation pipeline for enterprise business units
  • Act an integral part of the Production team, they support the teams with planning and executing on all pre-production, shoots, and post-wrap to include scheduling and managing pre-production meetings and overseeing production shoot logistics
  • Tasks will include budgeting, assembling crews, casting, location scouting, permitting and documenting -creating SOW’s and actualizing budgets
  • Be the prominent POC for internal teams and third-party vendors
  • Facilitate day-to-day aspects of production by providing support to project personnel
  • Effectively manage and clearly communicate overall timelines, project deliverables, and resourcing needs to produce high-quality creative
  • Support, plan, and execute internal and external workflows, ensuring an effective exchange of information and deliverables
  • Maintain flexibility with contending priorities to work both tactically and strategically when adjustments are required
  • Manage expectations with the ability to identify and articulate alternative solutions when changes arise
  • Collaborate with and support the Director of Production to bring methodologies to our Solutions team driving implementation of workflow procedures to ensure optimum proficiencies
  • Possess a strong presence on set as Producer and on pre-production calls; ensure all agenda items are covered and speak to areas where more oversight is needed
  • Ensure team establishes and maintains appropriate processes, procedures, forms and finance tracking to keep deliverables on time and on budget
  • Anticipate and effectively mitigate challenges
  • Organize, archive, and maintain folders, talent paperwork and pertinent documentation relating to all shoot needs via G-Drive
  • Review scripts with SA and ID to establish understanding of expectations and proactively identify production issues, legal risks and conflicts between schedule, cost and project scope
  • Facilitate timely communication between the production team internal and external, ICS, SA and vendors/talent to ensure everyone is aware of project expectations, potential hurdles, and milestones. Inclusive of mindful escalation of issues to the Director of Production
  • Help manage project reviews, team meetings etc., and be accountable for taking notes and disseminating information internally and externally
  • Work with the Director of Production to estimate and actualize budgets
  • Collect information regarding all projects and frequently update the appropriate trackers (Smartsheets, Slack)
  • Oversee and manage communication with talent re: production details (e.g. wardrobe, location, time, pay, etc.)
  • Organize and maintain production records, including: shoot budgets, bids, schedules, talent rosters, NDAs, deal memos, MSAs, SOWs, etc.
  • Scheduling VO sessions, and delivering VO assets to post-production

Musts:

  • 3-5 years experience in live action production
  • Ability to travel on an as-need basis to oversee productions
  • Passion and grit for ensuring production team is successful, while strategically scaling processes internally
  • Experience driving operational excellence from the ground up
  • Knowledge and understanding of pre-production, shoot/field production and post-production best practices
  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, & organizational skills. Ability to succinctly convey logistical information with novices and experts across a variety of disciplines
  • Proven cross-functional collaborator
  • High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving
  • Familiar with GSuite, Slack and Smartsheets
  • Strong sense of urgency, multi-directional thinker and tasker, anticipator of needs, detail and solutions driven
  • Able to adapt to a volume of rapidly changing priorities while still maintaining focus and organization on each simultaneously
  • Capable of making decisions which have a substantial impact on the budget, direction and/or achievement of production objectives
