Our client, a youtube content company, is seeking a Merchandise Product Design Manager to join their team.


  • Be accountable for the entire development and execution of product lines from creative to fulfillment, collaborate with our creative and content teams to ensure innovative designs and promotions
  • Work with our external partners to ultimately be responsible for ensuring the entire process runs smoothly
  • Work with creative team to develop overall creative vision for merchandise
  • Develop & plan overall visual direction for product drop on consistent cadence
  • Head design for physical product
  • Collaborate with creative team to revise and iterate ideas to ensure product impact
  • Be accountable for entire development to execution of every product line
  • Develop a sound strategy for creative direction and execution of all ancillary promotional materials (website, emails, marketing, etc)
  • Collaborate with branded content team to produce in-episode promotions of merchandise
  • Innovate ways to build brand and create opportunities through mechanisms such as external brand partnerships and collaborations
  • Coordinate with fulfillment dept. to ensure feasibility, deliver assets, communicate timelines
  • Design or outsource and oversee design for ancillary site, marketing, & promo assets
  • Execute marketing strategy through leveraging internal and external partners
  • Deliver all necessary assets and marketing materials package to necessary internal partners for execution
  • Leverage sales data and customer feedback to make better, more informed decisions for future products
  • Adjust inventories, timings, pricing accordingly to drive the most business ROI while not compromising on brand metrics


  • 7-10 years of practical experience or in a relevant area
  • Be aware of or be willing to learn about car culture and the automotive landscape
  • Aware of YouTube/Digital content trends. Understanding of online community building and other “fandom” content merchandising trends
  • Understanding of apparel design and fulfillment life cycle, including product launch and social media marketing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work meet deadlines and work with a budget
  • Education (HS Diploma, BA, BS, MA, MS, J.D.,Ph.D.): Bachelor degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in a relevant Design subject or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Practical experience and strong leadership qualities are required
  • Strong technical design skills ranging from graphic design to photoshop/illustrator
