Our client, an Entertainment Company, is seeking a Traffic/Scheduling Coordinator for a freelance opportunity.

You will report to the Director of Marketing and be responsible for:

  • Provide data entry support and distribute program schedules for the Networks suite.
  • Complete accurate data entry of program schedules across the suite of networks.
  • Confirming runtimes and placement of movies and episodes on the schedule, as well as creating programming grids and revisions.
  • Distribute all required versions of schedules internally and externally.
  • Provide accurate data entry into all programming databases, inputting important information such as synopsis, program titles, traffic numbers, TV ratings, runs usage/play history and contract terms. Confirm that all movie flights are accurately input, based on contracts.
  • Create metadata for non-linear platforms which consist of series and episodic information such as series and episode descriptions, episodic numbers, ratings, copyrights, avail and end dates (linear and non-linear) and maintain or manage rolling (non- linear) schedule avail dates into programming databases.
  • Provide administrative support to the Networks programming team, which may include data entry, filing, ordering supplies, and similar duties.

Musts:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-2 years of prior television scheduling experience is preferred
  • Understanding of formats and promo inventory management is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Good reasoning and problem-solving skills required
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and database management
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining effective business relationships is necessary
  • Extensive knowledge of movies, filmmakers and actors from all eras (the 1920s – present) is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under changing priorities and daily time constraints are required. Must be able to keep track of hundreds of movies, how they are scheduled and how they match up together.
  • Ability to adapt to change and disseminate programming information promptly is essential
