Our university client is seeking a freelance SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATOR/MANAGER to create short-form and long-form content, keep their social media presence up to date and assist with managing social media advertising. A background in content strategy and writing, as well as knowledge of social media advertising, uploading, etc is the perfect candidate. A background in higher education is a plus.


  • Develop content strategies and write content to brings the university to the forefront for potential students, educators, local businesses
  • Create effective content and experiences - concept story ideas, interview, write, upload and respond
  • Follow up/respond - be the social media voice for the university
  • Experience uploading ads to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.


  • 3-5 years of experience in similar role
  • BA in English, Journalism or similar
  • Understanding of current trends in social media and education preferred
  • Strong storyteller. Able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
