Our client, a Social Media Company, is seeking a freelance Editorial Coordinator to join their team for an assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative, operational, and creative support the editorial team
  • Work across editorial verticals (Entertainment, Lifestyle, News, Sports, and Community), helping to shape, manage, and program content
  • Collaborate with members of the wider Content team as well as those from other teams across the company
  • Organize the team’s efforts on a day-to-day basis
  • Maintain and own content tracking documents and programming calendars
  • Update and create scheduling documents for team of staff who work shifts
  • Provide executive support and manage scheduling for the head of the department
  • Support managers and the wider team
  • Help editorial and business leads maintain partnerships and keep up-to-date documentation
  • Coordinate and collaborate on cross-functional efforts
  • Contribute to creative brainstorms and strategic programming planning
  • Facilitate verbal and written communications between internal teams
  • Provide ad hoc support on a variety of projects, as they are assigned
  • Project manage internal initiatives and special projects

Musts:

  • 2-4 years of experience in executive support, editorial, content development, and/or media-related company
  • Experience with managing schedules, tracking documents, expense reports, and data entry
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Obsessive interest in trends, news, entertainment and sport
  • Passion for digital media and knowledge of the current content landscape
  • A can-do attitude, no task is too small
  • Strong time management and organizational skills including planning and prioritizing
  • Adept at problem-solving and juggling multiple projects at once
  • Equally comfortable taking direction and taking the lead
  • Constantly curious and dedicated to details
  • Polished communication skills and experience working cross-functionally
  • Possess the adaptability, resilience and patience to thrive in a dynamic, quick-paced environment
  • Willingness to work outside of business hours as needed
  • Familiarity working with Content Management Systems, G Suite, Plan Day, and Salesforce
  • Discretion and good judgement when dealing with sensitive issues
