Our client, a technology client, is seeking a Lead Engineer for a contract to hire role.

This person will report to the Director of Technology.

We are seeking a Lead Engineer that will be responsible for the following:

  • Work with product management and design teams to lead the development of internal and consumer-facing applications
  • Define technical and functional requirements, create technical documentation and architecture diagrams for a wide range of products
  • Draft API's, database schemas, state machine diagrams, and logic maps for projects
  • Collaborate with and oversee distributed development and QA teams
  • Implement project code review processes and help debug tough problems
  • Validate development estimates and lead daily scums with the PM
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of 3rd party libraries/frameworks


  • 4+ years professional software development experience in one or more of the following domains:
    • Web: Ruby (rails), Node.js, React, Vue.js
    • Mobile: iOS (swift) Android, React Native, Unity
  • Significant previous work with network- based API's, preferably REST/JSON
  • Oversee 3-4 different client projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
