Our client, a global entertainment company, is seeking a Digital Director to join their team.

You will report to the CMO and be responsible for:

  • Create and execute a strategic digital marketing plan; work closely with the CMO to execute high quality content deliverables in line with company goals
  • Manage the digital team of video editors, community managers, photographer, and outside creative resources to ensure a consistent stream of content for web and social outlets to increase views that net an ROI and keep audiences engaged
  • Uncover key insights and develop strategies using analytics that increase engagement and retention, and maximize the lifetime value of our audience
  • Craft and manage a rolling quarterly content calendar across multiple digital platforms including content execution strategy and compelling copy
  • Oversee design of digital presence with CMO
  • Develop and execute monthly progress reports with insights into key learnings and KPIs
  • Work on content partnership and licensing deals with brand sponsors to increase revenue opportunities
  • Aid in the ecommerce for all licensed products sold on digital platform
  • Manage brand initiatives for desktop, mobile web, app and other emerging platforms
  • Identify our core audience and design innovate content that serves each demographic as well as identify new audiences and curate content to appeal to those audiences
  • Ruthlessly prioritize content rollout and execute on release dates for completed functionality
  • Leverage analytics to make data driven decisions, establishing project KPIs and measuring post-launch success
  • Establish testing strategies and execute on our owned and operated platforms
  • Establish criteria and sign off process for all developed initiatives prior to launch
  • Create training materials and protocol for internal users
  • Manage external vendors as related to content initiatives
  • Create social media strategy and implementation strategy for different campaigns
  • Hold weekly team meetings to ensure all responsibilities are being addressed by each team member with annual reviews of each team member to ensure continual growth and accountability
  • Experience in the development of social media strategies across all social channels including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.


  • 10 years of digital marketing experience developing multi-platform consumer experiences
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Deep understanding of the digital landscape, market forces and the ability to set a clear content vision for the brand
  • Proven success creating digital content that has materially grown a brand through increased audience engagement
  • Proven success managing and inspiring a digital team
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interface with all internal and external teams and the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to give and receive critical feedback in a team environment
  • Proven ability to make smart and fast trade-offs using data and metrics to back up assumptions of business value
  • Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet goals and deadlines
  • Superior analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines
  • Strong eye for graphic design and overall product aesthetics
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills and the ability to articulate a clear POV
  • Personal experience posting, responding, monitoring and tracking social media posts
  • Desktop, mobile web, mobile app and emerging platform product experience
  • Knowledgeable in social media rules and regulations; demonstrates good judgment
  • Proficient with MS Office software (Power Point, Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook)
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high intensity environment, and collaborative environment
  • Must have a strong entrepreneurial drive to WIN


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
