Onward Search is on the hunt for a Marketing Communication & PR Manager with marketing copywriting skills to join our holistic cannabis & beauty product client. 

Ideal candidate comes from consumer packaged goods, food, beauty, fashion, retail, or lifestyle industry. You'll be working with a team of creatives and report directly to the CMO. 

We are seeking Marketing Communication & PR Managers who meet the following requirements: 

  • Must have PR experience creating electronic press kits (EPKs), drafting press releases, and securing placements in top tier print and digital publications, particularly those related to cannabis / design / business / technology / culture around the company's brand, products, and events 
  • Must have experience developing and nurturing relationships with the press and creating contact lists
  • Must have marketing copywriting skills, writing website content, sales materials, etc.
  • Must be an excellent communicator both written and verbal 
  • Experience managing social media campaigns from concept to hands-on execution, helping to write & produce content is a plus!
  • Experience with influencer marketing is a plus!


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
