Onward Search is on the hunt for a Social Media Strategist to join the team of a boutique creative agency for a contract-to-hire position. You will report to the Creative Director and will work with a small team in a start-up environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to develop a social media strategy for all clients
  • Manage the social media accounts for multiple clients across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest
  • Daily community management & engagement for all social accounts
  • Review performance and engagement analytics and use those results to drive social strategy and inform the content to be produced
  • Conduct A/B testing and apply results to strategy and content production
  • Create editorial calendars for all social media accounts
  • Participate in weekly client meetings where you’ll be providing status updates on the clients’ social media activity/results/engagement
  • Attend client events to develop content, including posting "of the moment" content (i.e. Instagram stories) to promote client events
  • Schedule SMS messages
  • Collaborate with the team on new business pitches to provide recommendations for social media strategy and management

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in social media / social strategy in an agency environment
  • Strong understanding of platform backend & analytics (including Google Analytics), and how to use results to drive strategy
  • Must have prior experience in a client-facing role
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats, proactive and resourceful attitude
  • Working knowledge of the Google Suite and MS Office
  • Experience in the gaming or food industries is a plus
