Our client, a products company, is seeking an International Brand Manager to join the team.

You will report to the Marketing Director and be responsible for:

  • Support and help to direct all marketing activities outside of North America for a select group of brands including licensing, promotions, advertising, media production, packaging, branding, public relations, trade shows, market research, pricing, costing, profitability analysis, and SKU rationalization
  • Lead the communication process of the Brand strategies to both Affiliate and Distribution Partners of the market specific requirements to the core brand team to ensure any special needs are incorporated into the product development process
  • Work with our International partners to develop global brand strategies in line with the brand goals and feasible for each specific markets – some travel will be required
  • Create and maintain the financial line plan for a specific group of categories and brands
  • Work with the International Product Manager and assist in managing projects related to product development activities including (but not limited to) preparing new product start documents, product costing and turn over transmittals, packaging and product briefs
  • Liaise with internal departments (Translation Services, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Sales, Planning) as well as with outside partners (vendors, licensors, inventors) both nationally and internationally at all stages of product development to ensure the smooth running of all projects under your care

Musts:

  • 4-5 years of consumer product marketing or brand management experience in a new product-oriented industry, preferably working with toy, entertainment, fashion, or other pop culture products
  • Experience working with international brands and retail distribution channels coupled with a University or College degree in Commerce or related fields
  • Direct experience with the full product development cycle, with a track record of thriving in a growth oriented and changing environment
  • Direct experience dealing with overseas development and manufacturing facilities
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, coupled with excellent organizational communication skills, and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to do whatever it takes to get the job done while continuously taking initiate and pushing projects forward under tight deadlines
  • Passionate about creative excellence and willing to drive self and others to achieve “magic.”
  • Ability to speak a second language an asset
