Onward Play is looking for an onsite Desktop Build Technician for our AAA gaming client. This role will be responsible for building, troubleshooting and configuring systems busy employees. If you know PC hardware inside and out and can troubleshoot Windows operating systems, networking issues, you’re well on your way!

• Image and configure PC desktops and laptops for deployment
• Configure workstation BIOS/UEFI settings
• Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution
• Manage ticket requests
• Install and maintain Windows operating systems (OS)
• Troubleshoot PC hardware and software
Responsibilities
• Identify patterns and areas for improvement in assigned areas
• Provide endpoint imaging solution training to teammates and support teams
• Continuously create, review and manage our internal documentation to ensure accuracy for our support teams and product handoff
• Provide insightful projections and recommendations for client performance, security and stability
• Monitor our imaging service health and coordinate with engineering teams as necessary
• Develop effective documentation, tooling, and alerts to both identify and address reliability risks
Requirements
• Experience with Windows OS imaging, patching, and deployment
• Experience with Windows application packaging and deployment
• Experience with Active Directory and GPO administration
• Solid understanding of computer security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques
• Working experience with service ticket fulfillment and change management workflows
• Must work well in a fast paced, collaborative team environment
Pluses
• Experience with Microsoft imaging services, such as MEM/SCCM or MDT
• Experience with scripting for Windows (PowerShell, VB, etc)
• Relevant Microsoft Certifications (ex. MCSE: Enterprise Devices and Apps, MCSE: Mobility)
• Understanding of ITIL framework
• Love for video games and other geeky stuff

Pay: $26.52 - $29.84 hourly
