Our client, a video game company, is seeking a Lead Development Manager (Scrum) to join the team. This is a contract role that is slated through March 2021, (paternity leave coverage) 40 hrs/wk onsite (when shelter-in-place lifts) in Los Angeles, CA.

You will work on the IT team and be responsible for:

  • Facilitating internal team rituals for two pods mostly scrum
  • Planning / integration activities SoS (Scrum of scrums) team wide
  • Running leadership syncs, ensuring meetings have agendas in place driving for outcomes
  • Run/facilitate activities with main customer teams
  • Quarterly planning and review sessions with main customers
  • Make sure all customer inputs captured, run through our prioritization processes, placed in backlog / roadmaps
  • Providing progress visibility to our stakeholders using info radiators
  • Possible working agreement revisits with the customer/stakeholders
  • Ensure the team has continuous improvement
  • Run and act upon retros to fine tune the work system, tools, and artifacts
  • Participate in interfacing team/stakeholder activities
  • Quarterly Planning activities
  • Run/facilitate/capture outputs of Tech SoS
  • Game/release SoS

Musts:

  • 7-10 years leading a development team, preferably in-house
  • Accustomed to leading daily scrums
  • Able to multitask and pivot priorities quickly
  • Passion for entertainment and gaming is a plus
