Manager, International Magazine Licensing

Our client, a Broadcast Network, is seeking a Manager, International Magazine Licensing to join the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide temporary management of magazine licensing accounts for the International Media division. This includes managing the select business functions in support of the international local language editions of magazines, including managing advertising and marketing approvals, requests for special content, and project support for the International Content Hub and the Best of the World 2023 campaign.
  • Approvals for branding, advertising and marketing for Local Editions; project tracking coordination for special projects and programs; managing and drafting communications with licensees and staff
  • Supporting International Content development and Best of the World 2023 communications.
  • Advertising, Marketing, and Brand Approvals: Manage reviews for advertising, marketing, and brand approvals for various magazine licensees. Confirm all products meet standards for branding, advertising, and marketing.
  • Magazine Business Management and Analysis: Analyses and manages business affairs of various publications
  • Working with finance team, compiles quarterly financial statements received from licensed magazine accounts to make determination as to the state of the relevant magazine licensee business.
  • Legal: Working with department Operations Manager, coordinates review and approval of new contracts, amendment, and compliance standards for select licensed magazine accounts
  • Editorial and Content Operations: Attend editorial meetings for Magazines to ensure we maximize the awareness and use of Locally created content
  • Special Project Support: In coordination with International Media team, supports priority project – Global Content Hub
  • Analyze and coordinates obtaining all Locally Created Editorial content from International Editions for use in
  • Media O&O (internally collaborating with int’l editorial, translation, rights, legal, business teams)
  • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements and systems processes, including the delivery and utilization of LLE content
  • Business Analysis and Support: Serves as business analyst and strategic support for International Publishing Director and international business, marketing, and communications leads
  • General Department Support: Provide support to department VP and Director as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years’ experience in field of media or entertainment or consulting in those areas: business, marketing, platform, and content management
  • Proven analytical abilities
  • Practical experience generating process documentation and reports
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Degree in International Business OR IT or related field
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications
  • Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management
  • Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions
  • Extensive experience with data visualization
  • Experience or familiarity with digital content distribution, rights management, social media management, and content management systems
