Onward Search has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Content Writer with a journalistic background. In this role you will play a huge part in sourcing, concepting and writing content for an internal website that aims to educate 50K+ associates across the globe about our brand. Apply today to speak with one of our associates to learn more! This is a long term extendable 10 month contract opportunity working out of our client’s Richmond, VA office.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will serve as the voice of our brand internally, crafting stories and content across a wide array of topics to provide education, inspiration and information access to all associates
  • Content/Stories will cover everything from integrated creative campaigns, new product launches, and brand-related stories from across the company, to guidance on brand strategy, brand building resources and tools, and beyond. As a part of a small team this role will partner with brand managers to seek out stories from across the Brand Department and the entire company to set the brand-building learning agenda for associates
  • Someone who is a strong collaborator and can communicate with different lines of businesses
  • This role will write copy, need to be flexible with feedback from various internal partners for each story, and work closely with a design partner to guide visual page layouts
  • Candidate will also be responsible for all internal communications about the website, including internal digital banner copy, monthly emails, and other marketing tactics and communications as needed. Becoming a master of our brand voice and editorial standards will be crucial in all execution
  • This site has just launched internally and the opportunity to evolve the way we are telling stories is endless - so while strong journalistic and copywriting skills are a must, the ability to ideate and execute stories in new innovative ways will be important to the success of this role and the site itself
  • Interested candidates should have the ability to manage development of multiple stories concurrently, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and have excellent communication skills
  • If you are proactive, a strong storyteller, manage change and white space well, and see opportunity all around you, this role could be a great fit for you
  • The ideal candidate for this role will have 2-3+ years of experience in a role that combined elements of copywriting, content development, journalism, brand strategy and brand management.
  • Must have writing samples/online portfolio

Previous advertising agency experience working across various brands / products and building client relationships at different levels of seniority is a plus.
