Our client, a local community education district with multiple campuses known for its academic innovations and commitment to the community, is seeking an Interim Marketing Director to join their team.

In this role, you will serve as strategic thinker and project leader on an interim basis for marketing and communications department activities. This includes defining strategy and project managing execution for events and key publications.

  • Events – project manage and prepare for marketing needs related to the organization events; including event script, printed and projected materials, and supervision of events staff in delivering set up, catering, décor, and other logistics.
  • Publications – collaborate with Chief Advancement Officer, academic and enrollment management leadership to complete an editorial plan, production timeline, and project manage writing, photography and design deliverables while ensuring timely delivery to meet publication deadlines

In addition, oversee and project manage the ongoing materials needs, taking an integrated direct mail, web, social media, and email marketing approach. Collect data and report outcomes to assess effectiveness of implementation.

This role serves as primary contact to direct advertising agency in placements ensuring alignment with promotional needs and other outsourced resources to supplement writing and digital media support.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations or related field is required.
  • 5 + years of supervisory experience in marketing, digital marketing, content strategy, direct marketing, brand development, public relations, advertising or related fields.
  • A demonstrated cultural competency and proven experience working collaboratively with colleagues at all levels within an organization is desired.
  • Experienced with the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Google Suites (calendaring, email, Docs and drive).
  • Experience with Google analytics, email and web content management systems and social media preferred.
