Onward Search is hiring an experienced Marketing Manager to be responsible for the daily activities of the marketing department and the marketing strategy in the banking industry. In addition, is responsible for conducting market research and analysis to direct the marketing planning and strategy.

The Marketing Manager is a business partner to the business units in order to help them achieve goals by providing marketing campaigns and marketing promotional support. Responsible in creating and implementing corporate and social responsibility initiatives for the surrounding communities.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Responsible for developing an annual marketing plan which is inclusive of all business units creating a unified strategy aligned with the strategic goals
  • Researches and analyze market intel, trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies that align with the overall strategy
  • Develop business cases for marketing programs and make recommendations on marketing campaigns
  • Researching and evaluating current products and services, new product and service opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights
  • Research and market through various channels and segment databases for example, content creation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, and etc.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
  • Responsible for the corporate and social responsibility initiatives to expand and strengthen our position in communities
  • Approves and oversees the creative development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects
  • Ensuring effective, branded marketing communications including the company website, print communication, and advertising
  • Adjusts marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback
  • Works within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each product, service or initiative
  • Works with marketing staff and external PR agency to develop detailed marketing plans for all media channels and business units
  • Responsible for the management of the marketing staff and external PR agency
  • Prepare periodic reports for management as requested
  • Responsible for completing annual training program assigned
  • Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for the management and supervision of the employees in the area. Responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable Federal and State Laws. Responsibilities include but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training, performance management, supervising daily activities, mentoring and coaching

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, communication or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience in a marketing department or marketing agency. Three (3) years of experience in a management/supervisory role
  • Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations
  • Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Strong presentation skills to all levels of the organization
  • Experience with Project Management and executing strategic initiatives
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills
  • Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently with the ability to make decisions according to established guidelines and accomplish tasks accurately and on a timely basis
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills in order to resolve problems with clearly identifies root cause and preset recommendations with minimal to no supervision

Travel Requirements:

  • This position may require travel to domestic and/or international locations numerous times on an annual basis to perform job functions
