Onward Search is partnering with a premier e-commerce company in Baltimore, MD for a Marketing Operations Manager for a 6-month assignment - temp-to-perm opportunity;

The Marketing Operations Manager will own and drive Global Marketing process development, optimization and implementation. They will be Subject Mater Expert on core end-to-end processes driving strategic brand alignment, creative conception and 360 go-to-market activations. They are responsible for designing processes, solidifying roles + responsibilities and standardizing deliverables to drive teams to optimal outcomes. They need to have a natural curiosity, be a creative problem solver and eager to understand and engage the org from a 360 perspective. This person strategically connects the dots, provides teams w/efficient and effective ways of working and, ultimately, keeps the team motivated and chased after greatness.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Assessment. Scan the organization for high-impact, high-leverage improvement, and cross-functional collaboration opportunities; recommend strategic areas of focus and prioritization.
  • Process Pipeline Prioritization. Partner w/Marketing Leadership to develop quarterly process development roadmap which prioritizes new projects in the context of pre-existing workload, available resources, and timing requirements.
  • Process Development. Align w/key cross-functional partners to map new ways of working, confirm RACIs, articulate resource needs and detail deliverable expectations.
  • Process Evaluation. Regularly hindsight existing Marketing processes and align w/cross-functional partners on process evolution for better efficiencies and effectiveness go-forward.
  • Constantly seek out industry / organizational best practices; recommend opportunities for adaption to optimize existing processes and work streams.
  • SOP Manual. Build out and maintain the Marketing team’s digital resource to access new and existing process information; standardize the toolkit and formats (maps, RACIs, templates, etc.) for consistency and ease of adoption.
  • Communication + Training. Alert Marketing teams on new/updated processes + project pipeline status; onboard new teammates and hold regular training sessions to roll-out new ways of working to the existing team.
  • Implementation. Develop implementation roadmaps and change management guidance for more complex processes; own and drive implementation of select processes to ensure successful long-term adoption.

Experience:

  • BA required MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant marketing experience in a fast-paced, product-oriented, consumer-driven company and previous leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of process development methodologies, techniques, and tools.
  • Experience w/change management and new process implementation.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Ability to work independently as well as team environments.
  • Strong interpersonal. presentation and writing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of competitive brand landscape within the industry.
  • Proficient in Keynote, PowerPoint, and Excel.
