Our client is looking for a strong marketing professional to fulfill a Marketing Specialist position located in Evanston, IL. This role will report to the Director of Marketing and work with the marketing team and will be responsible for developing a strategic approach for customer acquisition, cross-selling and marketing communications. This position is very hands-on and will be responsible for driving the direction and content as well as the implementation of campaigns.


  • Implementing and managing cross-channel marketing campaigns including customer retention strategies, lead generation, cross-sell campaigns and assisting sales initiatives
  • Planning, developing, executing and analyzing marketing automation campaigns
  • Writing all types of direct response materials including print, sales support materials, and email templates
  • Identify, analyze and manage event requests for viability and then report to stakeholders
  • Coordinate the planning and logistics of tradeshows, workshops and events including but not limited to equipment and space reservations, logistics, delivery of print and display materials, etc.
  • The ordering of all promotional items for events and conferences, which may involve various vendors
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Communications, or similar field
  • 5 years marketing experience including the managing of events
  • Software company and/or B2B industry experience preferred



  • Significant experience in writing strong, succinct copy (must provide samples).
  • Solid project management/organizational skills to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Proficient in a Windows-based environment including MS Office, along with Adobe InDesign and PhotoShop is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Pardot marketing automation (or similar) is a plus.
  • Focus on results that drive revenue and improve ROI.
  • Demonstrates initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.
