Our client, located in Evanston, IL, is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join their team. This person will be an integral part of the marketing team to help plan events, develop and execute strategies to aid in promoting and growing the business.

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing strategic approaches for customer acquisition, cross-sell and marketing communications. This is a hands-on role the will create, deliver and implement campaign strategies.

Skills:

  • Implementing and managing cross-channel marketing campaigns including customer retention strategies, lead generation, up-sell and cross-sell campaigns and assisting sales initiatives.
  • Planning, developing and executing marketing automation campaigns.
  • Planning, developing and executing events and tradeshows.
  • Writing all types of direct response materials including print and digital content-based marketing.
  • Delivering sales support materials including one-pagers, guides, and email templates.
  • Tracking and reporting on all campaign results.
  • Working cooperatively with various cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Communications, or similar field.
  • 5-7 years marketing experience.
  • Software company and/or B2B industry experience preferred.
  • Significant experience in writing strong, succinct copy.
  • Experience in planning events and tradeshows.
  • Proficient in a Windows-based environment including Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Microsoft Office including Word and Excel (Access a plus).
  • Solid project management/organizational skills.
  • Good eye for detail, design and consistency.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Focus on results that drive revenue and improve ROI.
  • Demonstrates initiative with good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Knowledge of Pardot marketing automation platform a plus.
