Onward Search is on the hunt for a Media Asset Manager to join our cross-platform media client for an ongoing freelance assignment. You will report to the Director of Post Production and will be helping to build and lead strategies that will create organization from pre-production through mastering around branded content including social, short form, and some TV.


  • Day-to-day support for the post-production team including Assitant Editors/Editors, Colorists, and Sound Mixers, and all other roles that utilize media or any associated project assets
  • Oversee and support shared storage systems and Asset Management tools
  • Create Collections and/or folder structures on shared storage spaces
  • Create and populate metadata fields for incoming media
  • Create logs to track current and historical content
  • Archive content to LTO tapes and restore content from LTP tapes and other media spaces
  • QC project organization during mastering process
  • Maintain naming conventions and project labeling standards
  • Support and maintain our workspace
  • Maneuver media and assets across internal spaces and external vendors
  • Advise on the shared storage spatial needs for the department
  • Content delivery via Signiant

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in digital, TV, or film content and 3-4 years’ experience in media asset management
  • Proficiency with EditShare storage and Flow Browse
  • Strong understanding of Signiant UDP
  • Experienced with LTO archiving
  • Content recovery skills
  • Highly organized and detailed documentation
  • Strong understanding in camera formats and associated sizes
