Our agency client is seeking a Media Specialist Manager to lead and manage a team of media specialists.

Responsibilities:

  • Gains maximum productivity by setting daily tasks and workflow of Media Specialists
  • Identifies operational efficiencies and elevates to Managing Director when appropriate
  • In partnership with People Ops and Managing Directors, ensure each Media Specialist's career path and work plan are actionable and measurable
  • Conducts weekly 1:1’s with Media Specialist to discuss workflow, tasks and training and monthly career development to discuss employee’s desired career path
  • Develops action plans to improve employee skill sets and align with career goals
  • Assign new or transitioning accounts into the team and monitors bandwidth concerns
  • Recognizes and deals with signs of employee unrest
  • Conduct Media Specialist interviews to seek the next great talent
  • Reviews existing training programs; suggest enhancements and modifications improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry
  • Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective
  • Effectively translate organic growth targets into action plans for each Media Specialist with achievable and measurable results
  • Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training and training requirements applicable to the clients and/or industry
  • Identifies problems and opportunities that additional training could improve
  • Ensures that training milestones and goals are met
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Passion for helping others learn, grow, and develop their career
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to moderate large groups as well as conduct individual meetings
  • Stimulates productive discussion sessions for positive action
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or G-Suite
  • At least two years of demonstrated successful leadership and/or supervisory experience
  • Experience with media planning and buying as part of an agency or marketing department
