Sr. Devops Engineer

Onward Search is hiring for a Senior Devops Engineer for one of it's large Financial customers.

Responsibilities:
• Work in the agile environment and adhere to all DevOps best practices.
• Active co-operation/collaboration with the teams at various geographic locations
• Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Provide prompt response and support in resolving critical issues (along with the development team)
• May require after hours/weekend work for production implementations

What we’re looking for:

Technical Qualifications:
• Bachelor's/PG degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
• 7 years of strong industry experience in DevOps Tooling and infrastructure automation.
• Broad knowledge of software development and software testing methodologies along with change and configuration management practices in Linux-based environments
• Knowledge of cloud environments preferably AWS
• Experience with automated deployment, continuous integration, and release engineering tools (e.g. Jenkins REQUIRED)
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation using Ansible REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge of container based environment (Docker Containers)
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Java, Javascript, Nodejs, Maven, Shell, PowerShell, .Net)
• Solid technical expertise and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with source control tools such as GIT
