Onward Search has a new exciting opportunity with one of our great clients. The opportunity is a freelance role for a UX/UI Designer that has an immediate start at our client’s office in New Jersey. An ideal candidate should have great relationship management skills along with solid technical skills.   • Work closely with Information Architects and designers to transform wireframes into high-fidelity mockups.
  • Ensure the mockups reflect a clear understanding of usability best practices and design trends.
  • Work with the developers and the UX team to convert a complex, fixed-width website into a stellar responsive experience.
  • Proactively update the style guide to new design work.
  • Apply specifications from the style guide to new design work.
  • Verify design specifications in a QA environment with a sharp eye and provide simple and clear feedback to developers.


  • Must have at least 5 years of professional web design experience.
  • A strong portfolio that depicts graphic design skills, brand identity work, and thoughtful UX/UI design solutions.
  • Impeccable skills and understanding of visual design principals such as graphic design, layout, typography, and color.
  • Must have knowledge of branding and experience following style guidelines.
  • Proficiency in AXURE, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch.
  • Previous proven experience designing responsive websites.
  • Strong understanding of usability best practices and principals.
  • Ability to communicate abstract concepts visually and verbally.
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS.
