Onward Search is looking for an imaginative Brand Writer with a passion for writing and for co-creating for a premier pharmaceutical client in New York, NY to join their growing design team.

The Brand Writer, has a proven track record of solving business and brand challenges through engaging stories and messaging. You will help the development of relevant, strategic and creative communications across the organization. You are as confident helping an executive leader draft a messaging matrix as you are developing brand voice, producing a thought-leadership piece or outlining and storyboarding a video concept. The right candidate will have an energetic spirit and the ability to collaborate, conceive, develop, and bring ideas to life.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with other disciplines to define program approaches and assist in defining objectives.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to develop written concepts that are equally bold, clear and suitable for our business
  • Leverage knowledge of design and cultural trends to guide solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships
  • Manage multiple projects with critical deadlines
  • Assess and improve processes and / or methodologies
  • Advocate, drive, and execute environmentally sustainable solutions

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 7-9 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrate strong visual, written, and oral communication skills
  • Fluency in Word processing software - further software skills a bonus
  • Prepared for a 100% hands-on writing role
  • Portfolio link MUST be included on each resume

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience working with brands big or small and can demonstrate a range of work in a portfolio during an interview.
