Onward Search is looking for a freelance B2C/B2B Copywriter for one of our financial clients in their in-house creative agency. This opportunity is a 3-month contract, onsite in NYC.

You will have written and edited copy for brands with established guidelines and are not afraid to push the envelope when the opportunity presents itself. The ideal candidate is skilled in long-form copywriting and has experience writing across various platforms ranging from web, mobile, social, print, emails, direct mail, video, and more.


  • Collaborate with creative managers, art directors, and account managers to turn strategic insights into compelling creative executions.
  • Craft copy across digital, web content, social, print, posters, retail signage, presentations, video, direct mail, and more.
  • Learn the nuances of multiple lines of business.
  • Participate in internal meetings such as kickoffs, status meetings, and creative reviews.


  • 7 years of professional writing experience; agency experience preferred, but not a must.
  • Proven experience in various media, including digital, email, social media, print, direct response, video, etc.
  • Long-form copywriting experience.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, or the ability to learn it quickly.
  • Experienced at translating a creative brief into clear and motivating creative.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and strategy skills.
