Editor (Food space)

Our client, a leading tech company in the food space, is looking for an Editor to join their team. This is a permanent position that begins as soon as possible. The team is currently remote, returning to in-person work in NYC Q4 2020 when safe to do so.

What you'll be doing:

• You'll be reviewing, editing, proofreading and leading quality control of 20-30 assets per week, driving consistency in language and visual identity across all
• Lend your editing/proofreading expertise to the team at multiple stages throughout the creative process including initial idea conception through production
• Track and record edits to ensure no changes are missed
• Lead the correction of all grammatical faults, misspelled words and help with design errors
• Maintain the brand voice and ensure its consistency throughout all assets being developed
• Act as quality control to ensure that all images being used are consistent with the language that is on all assets
• Partner with designers to fix inconsistencies and ensure changes are made
• Other tasks may apply

About you:

• 3-5 years of professional Proofreading experience
• Expertise in one or more Proofreading styles (e.g. Chicago or AP)
• Experience and passion for the tech and food spaces is a huge plus
• Proficiency with Google Docs and Google Sheets
• Experience with DocsFlow and InDesign is a bonus
• You are a multitasker who can handle last-minute changes with grace, and you can roll with it when projects get cancelled at a moments notice
• You are highly organized and have are hyper detail-oriented. Nothing gets by your keen eye!
