Copywriter (Contract to Hire)

Onward Search is looking for a Copywriter for a boutique multicultural advertising agency.

You’ll join the creative team to drive up the level of multicultural advertising from expected to extraordinary.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, part-time on-site in NYC.

As Copywriter you’ll:

• Help develop campaigns and lead conceptualizing for 360 advertising campaigns including TV, print, digital, social and experiential – pushing culture forward through the clients’ brands.
• Responsible for the writing for a wide range of clients including automotive, television networks and ride sharing companies.
• Be hands-on with the nuts & bolts, but be able to move into conceptual thinking at any time.
• Work directly with the Executive Creative Director and the founder.
• Take ownership of your ideas and stand for the work you believe in.
• Participate in new business meetings and pitch efforts.

Skills & Experience needed:

• Experience in the multicultural/Latinx space, either through personal projects or professional.
• 4+ years of experience at a creative agency as a Copywriter.
• An in-depth knowledge of pop culture and categories that push the limits.
• You are a storyteller that shows through your work.
• Must have experience presenting within a group and pitching new ideas.
