Sr. Digital Copywriter (Journalistic)

Our client, a prominent Real Estate company located in Richmond, VA, is seeking a talented Senior Digital Copywriter to join their team. This is a direct hire position that offers a hybrid work environment. The client is open to candidates from outside of Virginia who are willing to relocate and will provide relocation assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in lifestyle, real estate, family, things to do, and/or travel writing in a journalistic style.

As a Senior Digital Copywriter, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Conducting market and geographic research to ensure accurate and engaging content.
  • Conducting interviews with third parties to gather insider perspectives from various locations across the country.
  • Crafting concise narratives and stories, as well as writing video scripts.
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain brand voice consistency across all content forms.
  • Collaborating with photography managers on projects related to the stories or copy being written.
  • Managing multiple copy and content projects at all stages, from ideation to final publishing.
  • Sharing work with relevant team members and stakeholders for feedback, editing, and improvement prior to publication.
  • Managing several writing projects simultaneously, based on business needs.

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in copywriting.
  • Proficiency in AP Stylebook guidelines.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to conduct effective telephone interviews.
  • Exceptional editing, proofreading, grammar, and spelling skills (ensure your resume is error-free).
  • A stellar digital copywriting portfolio.
