Our client, a beauty brand in NYC, is hiring a Retoucher (Freelance) to start ASAP. You must be willing to work in office on a hybrid schedule in NYC.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversee review process and mark-up retouching comments
  • Liaise with all parties to achieve retouching objectives
  • Manage workflow and meetings for review process.
  • Evaluate and trouble-shoot technical retouching and production issues. Problem-solve all obstacles
  • Track and evaluate budget to maintain fiscal goals and negotiate when necessary
  • Oversee project scheduling, prioritizing projects with all parties in order to meet deadlines
  • Execute and maintain retouching status report, and regularly distribute to all parties
  • Facilitate actual photography release from art buyer through studio and provide daily follow-up with art buyers and designers
  • Maintain legal retouching guidelines
  • Work closely with production partners to ensure efficient shooting to avoid extensive retouching
  • Oversee video retouching (in accordance with legal guidelines)
  • Ensure product payoff, colors, and shades are accurate
  • Maintain ethical standards of retouching in accordance with legal guidelines
  • Attend weekly Creative Operation status meetings and contribute retouching/production updates
  • Research new retouching/proofing methods. Keep up to date on current and future retouching technology
  • Provide direction to Director of Production for pricing of all programs, as well as management of visual fulfillment and mechanical execution


  • BA or BFA preferred
  • 2+ years of retouching, production or related experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask, trouble shoot and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other desktop/retouching related software
  • Ability to work with a variety of people in various disciplines
  • Superior organizational skills
