Quality Assurance Engineer

New York based online educational mobile platform and app company needs a strong QA Engineer! Be a part of an incredible team building an innovative/interactive/engaging learning platform, app, product for the teachers, schools and children of the future and of the now! Onsite in NYC once Covid subsides is preferred.

• Must work independent but also collaborate due to remote work
• Must plan, define, write and product automated and manual testing
• Must be passionate about their offered products and features
• Must maintain automated testing framework for websites and mobile applications across all major platforms
• Work on a project by project basis
• Work along side QA team
• Execute functional and integration test cases within identified time frames, specific test environments, and test data with a high degree of accuracy
• Manual end-to-end testing experience
• Create automated tests using Selenium framework written in Java. Must be strong with Selenium and Java
• Test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports experience
• Report and record bugs
• Resolve issues with a project manager and hands on approach mindset
• Work along side project team
• Must know web and app functionality
• Able and willing to find, and resolve issues
• Understand scope of project, deadlines
• In the know about upcoming and emerging technologies that can enhance QA processes

Wanted:

• Background in computer science, math, strong technical education
• Passion for helping children learn in an innovative way and support a platform that has a mission to change the future of education
• 1+ years working with a Selenium
• 1+ years with automated testing framework to write and execute automated tests in Java
• 2-5+ years experience testing complex web-based applications
• 2-5+ years in test criteria, test cases, test scripts, and test plans for IT system projects
• Background in EduTech, Gaming, Mobile, Technology company, Social Media Company, Large corporations with mobile applications or learning platforms.
• Testing in mobile for iOS, Windows Mobile, Android
